ITU North Cyprus and Karamanoğlu Mehmetbey University (KMU) have signed a cooperation protocol.

 

ITU North Cyprus Rector Prof. Dr. Ercan KAHYA and Karamanoğlu Mehmetbey University Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet AKGÜL signed the protocol enabling the two universities to cooperate in many different fields for five years.

 

The protocol between ITU North Cyprus and KMU is aiming to: create a cooperation in all topics that are educational, scientific and administrative as well as in fields related to education; organize training with certificates, language training, in-service courses, workshops, meetings, assemblies, conferences and symposiums; create academic and scientific publications, research projects and studies based on the cooperation; organize mutual scientific and technical trips, national and international fair organisations, cooperate to organize events in the fields of culture, art and sport and to hold projects, competitions and festivals; have mutual organizations to promote the two universities both nationally and internationally; provide changes concerning the opportunities of teachers, administrative staff, foundation, undergraduate and graduate students; create a cooperation in masters’ students’ academic consultancy and/or consultancy in collaboration to help students with their thesis; provide a mutual reciprocation of information and academic publications and scientific documents aimed towards education and research; hold mutual curriculum studies in fields concerning summer school and diploma programs.

 

After the cooperation protocol ceremony, Rector KAHYA visited Karamanoğlu Mehmetbey University Continuing Education Research and Application Center Director Asist. Prof. Dr. Bülent DARICI. During the visit, possible joint projects and collaborations between Continuing Education Centers of the two universities were discussed.
