Prof. Dr. Ercan KAHYA, the Rector of ITU-TRNC Education and Research Campuses, was appointed as the Muaythai Federation Central Executive Board Member. The Turkish Muaythai Federation 3rd General Assembly was held on Sunday, November 30, 2016 at Hilton Garden Gimat Hotel.
Over 200 members, delegates and guests attended the General Assembly Meeting. The Ministry of Youth and Sports, Deputy Director General, Murat KOCAKAYA, Sport Education Head of Departments, İsmail GEDİKLİ, Turkey Kickboxing Federation President Salim KAYICI, Erzincan Youth Services and Sport Region Director Volkan Burak MUMCU, Isparta-Erzincan Youth Services and Sport Region Director Murat GEVREK, Bartın Youth Services and Sport Region Director Ali ÖZDEMİR, Kutahya ASCF (Amateur Sport Clubs Federation) President TASCC (Turkey Amateur Sport Clubs Confederation) Representative Murat CENGİZ and Erzurum ASCF President TASCC Representative Selahattin ÇODUR appeared at the ceremony’s protocol.
Halil DURNA thanked everyone for their contributions and shared information about the efforts made since the beginning of the federation.
DURNA expressed his gratitude by saying the following words: “I would like to express my gratitude to our president of the republic Mr. Recep Tayyip ERDOĞAN for developing and improving our Muaythai Federation, to our president Binali YILDIRIM, our Minister Akif Çağatay KILIÇ, Deputy Minister Abdurrahim BOYNUKALIN, Undersecretary Faruk ÖZÇELİK, Deputies of Undersecretary Kamuran ÖZDEN, İbrahim ÖZEKİNCİ, Hasan ÖZABA, Mustafa ÇOLAK, Sport Toto President Mehmet Muharrem KASAPOĞLU, Sport General President Mehmet BAYKAN, Sport General Deputies of President ALTINSOY, Dursun TÜRK and Murat KOCAKAYA”.
Following the opening speech, the list from the delegates was accepted and the council was formed. After the announcement of the agenda and the output report, acquittal of board of directors’ financial budget and activity reports, submission and presentation of the survey report, consideration the budget of 2017 and 2018 and its approval, and finally the approval of certain authorization given to the Board of Directors, the voting was carried out.
At General Assembly, 124 members cast their votes. Only two of the votes were invalid and the other 122 votes went to Halil DURNA, who was elected as the President of the Federation once again.
The President Halil DURNA said that they will work hard to improve the sports in Turkey and to succeed in national or international arenas. He also thanked all the delegates for their support. Discipline Committee President Sabahattin ÇETİN said that both Halil DURNA and Hasan YILDIZ are successful in their duties and wished the continuation of their success.
The Board of Directors, Board of Supervisors, Discipline Committee and Central Executive were also chosen.
