YÖDAK President Prof. Dr. Akile BÜKE, YÖDAK Members Prof. Dr. Hasan KÖMÜRCÜGİL and Prof. Dr. Olgun ÇİÇEK attended the 4th Eurasian Higher Education Summit.

 

According to the statement made by YÖDAK, during this summit, which was held at İstanbul Lütfi Kırdar Congress and Exhibition Center between February 26 and March 1, 2019, new trends in higher education, internationalization, artificial intelligence, and smart diplomas were discussed.

 

Republic of Turkey Minister of Youth and Sports Mehmet Muharrem KASAPOĞLU, TÜBİTAK President Prof. Dr. Hasan MANDAL, Turkish Airlines Board Chairman İlker AYCI, YÖK Executive Committee Member Prof. Dr. Necip CAMUŞÇU and YÖDAK President Prof. Dr. Muzaffer ELMAS attended the opening. Along with TRNC Universities, YÖDAK President Prof. Dr. Akile BÜKE, YÖDAK Members Prof. Dr. Hasan KÖMÜRCÜGİL and Prof. Dr. Olgun ÇİÇEK attended the opening as well. Prof. Dr. ÇİÇEK gave a speech to more than three thousand rectors, vice rectors, deans and academicians during the opening ceremony.

 

In more than 50 panels, workshops and roundtable meetings at EURIE, issues such as new trends in higher education, artificial intelligence technologies, Industry 4.0, STEM education, women's leadership in higher education, higher education status of asylum seekers, entrepreneurship and technology, smart diplomas, and emerging countries in education were discussed.
